  1. Consistent with Alberta Education’s requirement that all students have access to high quality learning resources, principals are to:
    1. identify the unique circumstances of the school (e.g. course requirements) and learning needs of students to determine means for the school to provide students access to resource formats such as print, digital, audio, video, computer software or manipulatives as needed to achieve curricular outcomes;
    2. ensure access to resources that provide students with information about Canadian society, its many facets and the contributions of multicultural groups such as Indigenous culture, Canadian, political, economic and creative life;
    3. ensure access to resources that provide students with a global perspective;
    4. align the school’s education plan with Alberta Education’s requirement that all students have access to high quality learning resources; and
    5. allocate funds accordingly to ensure access to those high quality learning resources.
