C-100-AR: School Closures

The administration will:

1. review the viability of each school within the context of division accommodation planning and the annual Capital Plan
2. create a plan of action with input from the school and its community where there are indications of declining viability;
3. consider the possibility of school closure when declining viability persists, and enrolment becomes less than 40% of the net capacity, despite development efforts; and
4. alert the board promptly of the possibility of a school closure.
