The Board of Trustees recognize that schools are hubs in the community. Accordingly, the board expects the administration to take initiatives to keep schools open and viable.
Simultaneously, the board recognizes that a decision to close a school may be a necessary response to specific operational and financial conditions. In such cases, the board expects a school closure to be considered in the context of a division student and program accommodation planning.
