The St Albert Public Board of Trustees is committed to providing students and staff with a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning and working environment.

The Board believes that an effective inclusive environment must be free from discrimination based on the protected grounds of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religious beliefs, absence of religious beliefs, gender, age, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, family status, source of income, sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Board believes that public education is the cornerstone of our democratic system and that eliminating systemic racism, hate and ignorance in our communities requires an explicit effort on our part to ensure organizational culture, policies, directives, practices and procedures are fully inclusive and do not privilege some groups and disadvantage others.

We believe this will enable students to become life-long learners, confident and capable of shaping their futures and meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The Board requires all St. Albert Public Schools to foster safe learning and working environments free from bullying, harassment and violence.
