AMH CYF
AMH CYF are offering telephone counselling vs face to face supports and we are informing clients of our new way of receiving services. Therapists who are available have been calling clients on their current caseloads to check in and inform of service option. Admin who have canceled appointments due to staff absences are letting clients know of our new service option of telephone support. For routine support, general enquiries to call the clinic they receive services at and a staff will direct their call. For urgent mental health support, call the Children’s Crisis team at 780.407.1000.
Our operational processes remain the same, centralized intake calls, crisis services calls, on demand services (now request for a telephone call with a therapist during walk in hours) and
strongest families (we offer this service after an intake screening and some therapists also offer to families they are engaged with). As well, as we are dealing with staffing absences for a variety of reasons (illness, self-isolation, child care) our ability to have staffing of therapists to support varies per clinic, and changes daily. We have created a plan for staff coverage.

RCMP - Non emergency
Law enforcement support
780.458.7700
The St. Albert RCMP are responding to calls for service and are out on patrol. Individuals can call the main detachment 24/7 but the detachment front counter is closed at this time and our satellite office (Beaudry) is also closed to the public. Should someone attend the main detachment, they will have to use the phone/intercom outside the front entrance to speak to our telecoms staff and they will assist accordingly...thus the best thing for our clients, should they need to speak/see a member, is to call the non-emergency line (780.458.7700). If it is an emergency, call 911.

The St. Albert PCN site is physically open, but we are discouraging in-person appointments. All of our mental health nurses are still working, either from the clinics, or from home. But we are all hooked up to work cell phones and work laptops so it’s business as usual with our patients, just via phone calls. None of us is seeing patients in person.
