French Immersion

At École Muriel Martin Elementary School, our primary goal is to provide your child with a solid foundation in academics, social responsibility, the arts and physical education. With students, parents and staff working as partners in education, we create a safe and positive learning environment -- one of mutual respect where differences are celebrated, success is honoured and a shared commitment to lifelong learning flourishes. It is with this collaborative and caring spirit that we ensure our school is a great place for your child to be!

Our character education program is based on the core values of Responsibility, Achieving Excellence ,Winning Attitude and Respect (RAWR). You will hear us RAWR as our students are encouraged to have a strong voice and to work together to make our world a better place. To complement our program, we recognize positive choices through Dino draws, Dino bookmarks and I am a Leader t- shirts that feature our mascot, Marty, as well as highlight our core values.

Muriel Martin adjoins Deer Ridge Park and has access to a soccer field, baseball diamond, sliding hill, playgrounds, skating rink and basketball court. The school serves the neighbourhoods of Deer Ridge and North Ridge (north and west of Sturgeon Heights School except Normandeau and Napoleon Crescents) for the English program, and Deer Ridge, Jensen Lakes, Lacombe Park, Mission and North Ridge for French Immersion.
