Nominations

Completed Nominations will be received by the Returning Officer (or Deputy Returning Officer), at the City of St. Albert, 5 St. Anne Street St. Albert.

Due to COVID-19 protocols and office closures, receipt of Nomination Papers will be by appointment only, on operational days from January 4, 2021 to September 20, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Please call Jacqueline Pelechytik (780.418.6663) for an appointment to submit your Nomination Papers and other information.

Additional information will be added to our division website as it becomes available.

Nomination Package

While the Nomination Package is available below, candidates are strongly encouraged to call 780.460.3712 for an appointment to review the package over the phone (due to the COVID-19 Pandemic) with Michael Brenneis, Secretary Treasurer, St. Albert Public Schools.

If you wish to pick-up a Nomination Package, please plan for about 20 minutes to review the package and NEW requirements.

Campaign Finance and Disclosure

Candidates for the St. Albert Public School Trustee must comply with the campaign finance and disclosure requirements in the Local Authorities Election Act. Every candidate, including a candidate who withdraws, is required to file a disclosure statement with the secretary-treasurer on or before March 1, 2022.

Identification of Third Parties

Candidates for the St. Albert Public School Trustee must advise the Returning Officer of any third party, or a person acting on their behalf, to ensure their sponsored election advertising complies with guidelines established by the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
