St. Albert, AB, Canada T8N 2X7
At William D. Cuts Junior High, each student has the opportunity to become a well-rounded and successful citizen, a person who is always a great ambassador for the school and for teens in general. In addition to regular classes, Cuts offers special low enrolment groupings for students with different learning needs. The school has a strong commitment to quality teaching and learning, not only in academics, but also in athletics, fine arts, technology and student leadership. Students benefit from the school’s strong academic focus and tradition; technology options which further learning experiences; large band and choral programs; drama productions and festivals; opportunities to develop leadership skills; and quality physical education.
Named for Dr. William Cuts, much-loved local doctor and founding member of the St. Albert Public School District (formerly known as the St. Albert Protestant School District), W. D. Cuts is located in Lacombe Park, on a large field with a community playground and soccer, football and baseball facilities nearby, as well as outdoor skating rinks within walking distance. The school serves the communities of Deer Ridge, Lacombe Park, Mission, North Ridge and Riverside.
