Bellerose Composite High School has a strong sense of school and community spirit, with a mandate to meet the needs of a diverse community of students. The staff is committed to developing an environment of inclusion and sense of belonging for all students. The school’s tradition of citizenship, leadership and service within the school, and in the community at large, continues to be one of its trademarks.
The school caters to a variety of student strengths and interests. In addition to offering an excellent Alberta High School Diploma Program, Bellerose offers a range of additional programs: the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program (with the Grade 10 Pre-IB component) for well-rounded, strong academic students; GOALS program for students with special needs; Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) for students wishing to combine a high school diploma and apprentice in a trade; Knowledge and Employability (K & E), offering a moderated high school diploma for students interested in a career in trades and services; and a Sports Academy Program to meet the academic and athletic needs of high performance student athletes. There is also an exciting Fine Arts Department and a strong CTS Program with classes in areas such as Cosmetology, Architectural Design, Mechanics, Construction Fabrication and Computer Technologies.
