Is your child intellectually gifted? Are you seeking a more challenging environment for him/her? Then St. Albert Public Schools' well-established Academic Challenge Program might be the right place for your child.
Our Academic Challenge (AC) Program enables academically-gifted students to achieve excellence in an environment that supports their unique intellectual, social and emotional needs. AC is intended for those gifted students who have the capacity to acquire information rapidly and think abstractly. Students in the program also exhibit a wide range of abilities in general intellect, academics and creative thinking.
To qualify for AC, students must be recommended to the program by their school, in consultation with their parents. Students must also show evidence of a score in the superior range or above on an individual cognitive test.
